Upstate University Hospital will host a registered nurse hiring event 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 on the third floor of the Canyon area at Destiny USA. Nurse managers from the downtown campus, the Community Campus and Golisano Children’s Hospital will be there to speak with potential candidates.
Upstate is hiring nurses for all clinical areas and offers competitive benefits, including tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
About 30 Upstate team members, including nurse managers, recruiters, College of Nursing representatives and benefits professionals, will be available to answer questions. Nurse managers will conduct initial interviews on site so interested candidates should be “interview-ready” and bring a resume.
“My whole goal with this is to have people come out and let us help you find the right fit here at Upstate,” said Rebecca Milczarski, Upstate’s director of nursing recruitment. “We can help you find your future.”
Positions are available in pediatrics, float pools, as well as medical-surgical units and the intensive care unit at the main hospital and the Community Campus, to name a few.
“We really have opportunities for everyone,” she said. “When we talk to candidates we want to know what you’re interested in, what your career goals are. There are so many professional development opportunities, and it all starts with finding the right unit for our nurses.”
