“Removing Barriers and developing a workforce to fit the needs of employers!”
On Thursday, March 10th Jubilee Homes of Syracuse, Inc. will host an informational fair for its “Build to Work Program” from 12:00 PM to 2:00PM at Destiny USA in the Canyon area. Come learn about its program and how the organization can not only assist employees, but the employer, as well!
Jubilee Homes’ Build to Work Program (B2W) was created to address and eliminate barriers to employment opportunities for job seekers, as well as to assist employers with their employment needs. The organization understands that without the necessary education and training credentials needed for employment, including academic degrees and life/soft skill trainings, most job seekers would not be considered for jobs that are in high demand. The organization also recognizes that employers often miss out on finding qualified candidates for employment due to not having a diverse pool of work ready individuals connect to. Build to Work has become that bridge for both the employer and the employee to connect with one another.
In addition, the organization has a full service staff that works with individuals to eliminate barriers that may prevent them from obtaining and maintaining employment such as child care, transportation, housing, and education other needs.
On Point for Jobs, Visions for Change, OCC Workforce Delivery, SUNY- EOC, and University College HEOP will also be present to share their services.
For more information on our program and services contact Twiggy Billue, B2W Program Coordinator or Kiva VanDerGeest, B2W Job coach at 315-428-0070. We look forward to seeing you there!
This program is sponsored by Senator David Valesky and the New York State Department of Labor.
