Position Type: Regular EmployeeSephora’s Loss Prevention Agents protect the assets of the store against theft and work with management to maintain operational controls to reduce shortage.
Loss Prevention
- Conduct surveillances on the sales floor as well as utilizing the CCTV system to identify, observe, and apprehend or deter individual(s) from committing external theft(s).
- Identify and report to the District Loss Prevention Manager potential internal theft opportunities.
- Adhere to all laws and Sephora policies concerning apprehensions, search and seizure and the preservation of evidence.
- Prepare prompt and complete reports relative to all theft incidents, merchandise recoveries, accident investigations and audits.
- Testify in court on behalf of the company, in any case, criminal or civil, to which the Agent is summoned.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all store personnel as well as local law enforcement agencies, mall security and other retailers.
Operations
- Conduct store self-audits, checklists, and safety inspections, and communicate findings to the store Leadership team.
- Assist store leadership with inventory preparation and process.
- Partner with the store and District Loss Prevention Manager in the development and execution of shrinkage prevention plans.
Training
- Heighten and maintain store Loss Prevention awareness by attending and participating in store cast meetings, new hire trainings and continuous cast training.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, skills required
- Strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
Experience Desired
- 1 year of assets protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
Minimum Education Level
- High School graduate or equivalent
Requirements of the Job
- Able to work flexible hours including days and nights, weekends and holidays appropriate to the business needs.
- In multi-store areas, the Loss Prevention Agent must be available for assignment to all stores in the area.
- Consistent and reliable attendance.
- Must be able to stand/walk sales floor for entire shift.
- Satisfy and maintain all licensing requirements (as required by state or local jurisdiction).
- Able to work in a fragrance filled environment.
